Polish, German soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Two troopers of NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in two separate attacks in southeastern and northern Afghanistan. Polish soldier Corporal Jaroslaw Mackowiak was killed and two other Polish soldiers were injured on Thursday, when unknown assailants fired anti-tank grenades and small arms at them when they were on routine patrol in Ghazni province, a foreign news agency reported. The latest incident brings the death toll for Polish soldiers deputed in Afghanistan to 27. There are currently about 2,600 Polish troops in the Central Asian country.
