LAHORE –Energy crisis has damaged the economic fabric of the country but the incumbent rulers are least interested to solve the problem which has virtually made lives of the people a hell.
The PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif expressed these views during a meeting with traders and economists who called on him on Saturday. Sharif said the unprecedented loadshedding had crippled every sector of the country and industrial production was at its lowest ebb with exports of the country showing no sign of improvements. He said that energy crisis was rendering people jobless and the local investors were shifting their businesses to other countries.
Sharif said had the PPP-led government tried to cope with the energy crisis the situation would have been different now.
The PML-N chief said if his party was voted to power in next general elections, he would put the country’s economy on the road to progress.
