The Cooperative Department of the Punjab is issuing loan of Rs 40 million without interest to small farmers of Barani areas for purchase of tractors and implements for modern farming. This was stated by Rashid Mahmood, Registrar Cooperatives Punjab, in a departmental briefing. Senior officers of the Department were also present. He was also informed about the disbursement and recovery of loans within the province by the Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Limited.
