Teachers garlanded with certificates for devotion

Teaching is a prophetic and sacred profession and that’s why special attention is paid to character-building of children in schools, said Executive District Officer (EDO) Education Muhammad Ghias Sabir at the annual prize distribution ceremony held here the other day. He emphasized that teachers should devote their lives for a bright, well-informed, skilled, learned, scholarly better future of the next generations. As per detail, the annual prize distribution ceremony of the Nankana Sahib District Education Department was held at Govt Model High School Warburton City where forty two Headmasters were awarded merit certificates on the producing 70 per cent or more result in Secondary School Certificate examination 2012. Likewise, merit certificates were also awarded to brilliant students who secured first, second and third positions in the district. More than 150 students were awarded Shields, trophies and merit certificates who grabbed first and second positions in district sports tournament and co-curricular activities. Govt Secondary Schools Headmasters’ Association district Nankana Sahib gave special mementos to the EDO and the District Education Officer (SE) during the ceremony. Headmasters Association President Javed Ashraf Shooka was the host of the ceremony while Malik Muhammad Iqbal acted as stage secretary. Rai Najeebullah, Kalimullah Bhatti, Hafiz Abdul Latif Zia, Haji Zubair, Zahid Pervez Khan, Waqar Ahmad Waheed, Zafar Iqbal Wattoo, Afzal Tariq, Mirza Salim, Ghulam Abbas Anjum, Ali Ahmad Sian, GN Ghakir, Tahri Shehzad, Mansoor Qureshi, Zaki Ch, Rana Imtiaz, M Zahid, Zulfiqar Ali, M Shaif and other Headmasters and Principals attended the ceremony.
