Unfortunately, previous successive governments have utterly failed to effectively integrate the youth in national development schemes. A vast majority of our youth has poor education, while those who hold master’s degrees do not know anything about their subject. They also they lack skills and consequently remain jobless.

In order to address this, the federal and provincial governments need to enhance the capacity of the relevant organizations endeavoring at the federal and provincial level such as Directorate of Workers Education (DWE), Manpower Training Institute (MTI), Benazir Skill Development Program etc. so that the youth may be trained on modern lines to become more self-reliant. A unit with the mandate to explore new opportunities for skilled Pakistani youth, should also be established in various embassies where selfless, not ‘self-centered’ officers may be appointed to search new venues for our youth abroad.
