Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad said that the protests led his party were not aimed at derailing democracy rather, sending a (Sharif) family home from the corridors of power.

Addressing a press conference here, he said, "We do not want to derail democracy rather to derail a family (Sharif family)." He claimed that he came out on the demand of perturbed people and will hold a train march on 20th against rigging, unemployment, lawlessness and loadshedding. He hoped that the train march would send the rulers back home.

He said that 2014 was of great importance, and asked the people to reach Railways Station Lalamusa to join the train march. He said that the rulers had failed to address the public problems. He criticised the government over deteriorating condition in the country. He asked the rulers to decrease the rates of petroleum products, flour and electricity and bring the same at pre-May 11 level.

Rasheed was welcomed by the workers of Awami Muslim League ant PTI at Railway Road Chowk. Later, he visited Dera Kaira and met with PPP secretary information Qamar Zaman Kaira and Tanveer Ashraf Kaira in private.
