TIMERGARA: The newly posted district police officer Lower Dir Syed Akbar Ali Shah has said that local police were successful to establish writ of the government even in the no-go areas through public support.

He was addressing a police darbar at the Timergara police line which was attended by police officers and officials. SP investigation Aziz ur Rehman, DSP head quarter Syed Aqeeq Hussain, DSP circle Hidayatullah and SHOs of all police stations were present on the occasion.

The DPO said that modern policing aimed to strengthen linkages and working relations between police and public were introduced. He said all available resources were being utilized to maintain peace in the area. The DPO urged upon police officers to serve the community with utmost honesty and devotion.

Meanwhile the Balambat Lower Dir police claimed to have arrested three proclaimed offenders during raids and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession. Briefing local journalists here the Timergara DSP Hidayatullah said a police team led by SHO Balambat raided different houses at Lajbok and Biarai areas and arrested three POs Ahmadullah, Bacha Zada and Israr Khan wanted to police in various heinous crimes. He said the raiding team also recovered a Kalashnikov, pistol, gun, rifles, five chargers and cartridges from their possession.
