BAQUBA, Iraq (AFP) - Two Iraqi soldiers were killed and two others wounded in a roadside bomb attack while on patrol in restive Diyala province on Monday, police said. The blast occurred on the main road to Balad Ruz, 85 kilometres (50 miles) northeast of the Iraqi capital, a region where Al-Qaeda operatives remain active, a police official told AFP. Diyala, in central Iraq, is considered one of the most dangerous areas of the country, where Al-Qaeda and various insurgent groups still manage to launch attacks despite a general decrease in violence levels elsewhere.
