India Tuesday expressed "shock" at an attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Pakistan and said Islamabad needed to "take meaningful steps" to dismantle terrorist groups. "Terrorists based in Pakistan are a threat to the entire world. The Pakistan government should take meaningful steps to dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism," Indian foreign ministry spokesman Vishnu Prakash told reporters. "We are shocked at the incident. We wish them a speedy recovery," he added, referring to those injured. India's Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma said the attack "underscores the enormity of the threat" from terrorism emerging from Pakistan. A spokesman for India's governing Congress party also branded Pakistan as "the epicentre and fountainhead of terror."
