QUETTA (PPI) - Quetta and other parts of Balochistan were shocked by a light earthquake Monday night. Earthquake of light intensity of 4.4 on Richter scale jolted Quetta and Ziarat at 0805 pm. There was however no report of any loss or injury. Earlier, earthquake jolted Khuzdar and Noshki Monday afternoon. According to Pakistan Meteorological sources an earthquake of 3.6 magnitude rocked Khuzdar and Noshki at 0401 pm on Monday. Its epicentre was located near Kharan. There was no report of any damage or injury to any body. Shocks were also felt in Mashkay (central Balochistan) and Chaman. Fear and panic was created when a minor earthquake was felt in Mashkay in Central Balochistan on Sunday night. People were sleeping when the area was jolted by quake. They got up and came out of their houses. Another tremor was also felt Monday afternoon. Its magnitude was 3.6. Minor earthquake was also felt in Chaman on Monday. Shocks were also felt in Toba Achakzia, Killa Abdullah and border areas of Afghanistan adjacent to Chaman. People got frightened and panicky came out of their houses and shops and started reciting Kalima Tayyaba. There was no report of any damage.
