No oaths please, Khosa urged

LAHORE - The Punjab PPP Secretary Finance Aurangzeb Burki has asked Governor Khosa not to administer the oath to the new Punjab ministers likely to be taken from amongst the members of the Forward Bloc. Talking to the media outside Punjab Assembly on Wednesday, he said that expected induction of ministers from PML-Q turn coats will be an unconstitutional act and governor should not be a party to it. He said that PML-Q dissidents could only be administered oath if they get No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their party head, Ch Shujaat Hussain under whose signature they got tickets in the 2008 general elections. The PPP leader said that it was high time that PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif showed political maturity and discouraged the culture lotacracy in politics. We are living in 2011 and not in the era of 1988, and a lot of water has flown under the bridge, Burki observed, adding that Nawaz league was pushing the country back to the politics of 1980s and 1990s.
