LAHORE – PML-Q chief, Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain and senior leader, Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi while saying that disciplinary action would be taken against Mohsin Leghari claimed that the results of the Senate polls have established the fact that real contest was between ‘undemocratic PML-N’ and ‘democratic PML-Q’.

They expressed these views while talking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly on the occasion of polling for the Senate on Friday.  They said that the dissidents of the PML-Q have also rejected the PML-N leadership, as Mohsin Leghari only got 22 votes out of 46 members of the forward bloc.  Ch Shujaat claimed that Punjab government through a conspiracy secured the win for Mohsin Leghari, while Aslam Gill’s defeat was part of this plot, as the PML-Q had voted for Gill according to the set formula with the PPP, adding that coalition partners have all options open to challenge the defeat of Gill.
