LAHORE– Students of Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) on Friday staged a demonstration at Jail Road to protest against low pass percentage in the second professional MBBS examination.

Dozens of students blocked the road for about two hours, causing massive traffic jam besides increasing the agony of patients visiting the Services Hospital and the Punjab Institute of Cardiology. The protesting students claimed that the contained mistakes due to the negligence of the University of Health Sciences.

 They claimed that the students failed due to the out-of-syllabus question papers and biased marking. They demanded cancellation of the result.

On the assurance of health secretary that their grievances would be redressed, the students dispersed peacefully.
