QUETTA - Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani on Friday observed  that the winner in Senate election could be dangerous and the loser would be in danger.

While addressing the media in Assembly during the senate elections, the Balochistan Chief Minister said “Whosoever wins will be dangerous and whosoever loses will not be safe.”

To a question, he said that he was unaware of the bargaining or horse-trading because he had not visited Sera Hotel for past six months.

To another query, Raisani dubbed PML-Q candidates as his brothers, saying: “They are my brothers, who are ready to sit with us.”

“As far as minorities’ candidate Dr Ramesh Kumar is concerned, there was nothing wrong if he joined the PPP after our meeting.” He said that the development funds of independent candidate Pir Abdul Qadir Gilani had been released.

The CM said that the government was ready to talk with disgruntled Balochs.

“We stand by our offer of talk as the Balochistan issue can only be resolved through dialogue not by using force,” he added.

On a question that his government had used Rs65 million for just one vote, Raisani commented: “Even the US president did not spend Rs65 million for just one vote.”

Referring to the Balochistan Assembly speaker, he said “He is my friend and we have many similarities like his name and previous career in police.”
