KARACHI - The Administrator of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Hashim Raza Zaidi allocated 20 per cent discretionary fund to the director zoo from the collective revenue of Karachi zoological park for maintenance.
He was paid a visit on Karachi Zoological Park along with Director Parks and Horticulture Niaz Soomro, Director Zoo Bashir Sadozai and other officials.
During the visit he directed the concern officials to lay flower plantation in various locations of the zoo including Mughal Garden and organise a flower show in the upcoming season for the interest of common public.
He said that the treatment of arrangements of the animals would make better in veterinary hospital of the zoo. He also urged to established zoological, botanical and veterinary library for the students of said subjects.
It is a largest zoological garden exists in Karachi therefore it is essential to develop the things for the interest of people. Meanwhile, he informed that KMC have got Rs326 million grant forms the Sindh government and salaries of one to five scale employees will be started from Monday.
