SHERGARH - Local social, political and religious circles and trade organisations have appreciated the Shergarh Police SHO for his dedicated efforts to curb crime in the area.

The representatives of Markazi Ajuman-e-Tajran, Labiak Ya Rasullah Tehreek, Human Rights Welfare Organization, Pakistan Kissan Ittehad Shergarh and other organisations have appreciated Shergarh Police SHO Malik Khaliq Riaz Awan and his entire team for fighting crime in the area at a ceremony held to return a tractor-trolley snatched during a dacoity to its owners. The tractor-trolley of Ch Muhammad Shafiq, Ch Muhammad Riaz and local journalist Ch Muhammad Yasin was returning to Shergarh after unloading sugarcane at Abdullah Sugar Mills when it was snatched by four armed men at gunpoint.

On receiving information, SHO Malik Khaliq Riaz Awan along with investigation officer ASI Muhammad Hanif pursued the investigation of the case on scientific lines and solved the mystery of the dacoity within a short span of one month. The police team recovered the tractor-trolley and arrested the culprits. Later, the police handed over the tractor-trolley to its owners. Various political and social circles have congratulated the SHO and his team for their devoted efforts to rein in crime in the area and thanked the Okara DPO for appointing such a 'crime fighter' SHO at Shergarh Police Station.
