HAFIZABAD - Hard work by teachers and students can change the destiny of nation, declared EDO Education Dr Muhammad Iqbal Naeem while addressing annual prize distribution ceremony at Govt High School Winni. The EDO stressed the need for concentration on studies by the students and the teachers should put in their maximum to brighten the future of their pupils. Earlier, Headmaster M Fayyaz Warraich told the EDO that education-loving social workers Rana M Arshad Anjum and Muhammad Arshad Mayo and villagers of Winni have donated Rs6 million for the construction of class rooms and an Auditorium.

Passes away: Mian Imdadullah Tarar, youngest brother of Late MNA Mian Saifullah Tarar and grandson of Khan Bahadur Ataullah Khan died in Kolo Tarar after protracted illness on Saturday. He was laid to rest in family graveyard. The funeral was attended by large numbers of political and social workers and landlords of the district. His Qul will be held in Kolo Tarar (Hafizabad) at 11:00am.

Killing condemned: Local journalists have strongly condemned the brutal killing of Kalat Press Club chairman Mehmood Jan Afridi. They called upon the govt that his killing should not remain uninvestigated and the terrorists involved in the tragic death should be arrested immediately. They also called upon the govt to ensure protection of journalists particularly in Blochistan, KPK and FATA.
