US returnee goes missing


LAHORE – A US-returned youth went missing on Saturday, according to sources in police and family.
Umair Imtiaz, the resident of Secttor-4-D/1 in Green Town went disappeared since he visited his friends, according to his family. Police were informed that the family rang his phone that was not responding.
Umair returned from the US where he had been studying at a university. His relatives suspected that Umair was kidnapped for ransom. But, no call was relieved so far, according to police.  The Green Town police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
Peddler: The Mozang police Saturday claimed to have arrested a drug-pusher and recovered 1kg charas. The drug peddler was identified as Aqeel alias Pomi, who was arrested from Kanak Mandi Mozang. Further investigations are underway. Meanwhile, police also arrested a bootlegger Imran Masih from the Liaqatabad police area and recovered 10 liter liquor from his possession.
