SHEIKHUPURA/ARIFWALA - Three persons including a woman were killed separate incidents of violence and mishaps over the past 24 hours. According to detail, in Sheikhupura a youth lost life after falling down from the rooftop while flying kite in Village Muridke here on Saturday. Zaki,14, was flying kite on the rooftop of his house despite a ban on flying kite in the district. In the meantime the teenager slipped off and fell down into the courtyard of his house. As a result, he received severe injuries and died while being shifted to nearby hospital. Meanwhile, the police launched crackdown on the traders involved in the business of kite flying material. In ARIFWALA, a man axed to death his wife in suburb 21/EB village over a domestic dispute on Saturday and later burnt her body. According to reports, the man identified as Muhammad Latif along with his five accomplices axed to death his wife Rasheeda Bibi over a minor issue. Later on, he set her body on fire and tried to bury her in graveyard.
The deceased father Muhammad Shaban of Chak 15/EB told the police about his heinous crime. On information, the police reached the spot but criminals escaped from the scene. However, the police took the body into custody and shifted for autopsy. The police registered a case and started search for criminals. In another incident, a dacoit was killed by his accomplices in the remit of Rung Shah Police. The deceased identified as Umer alias Khumri was in police custody and was being taken for recovery when his accomplices ambushed the police party to get his release. In the meanwhile a shootout erupted which lasted for some time. Resultantly, Umer was killed by the firing from his own accomplices. The Rung Shah Police registered a case of the incident.
