LAHORE - wheat crop is in its sensitive stage of growing so farmers should be vigilant to keep the crop save from wheat aphid attack .    Punjab Agriculture Department Director Information  Anjum Akhtar expressed these views while talking to APP here on Sunday.  He said chances of wheat aphid attack in March increased and suggested growers to spray cold water where wheat aphid attack was witnessed instead of using poisons. He also urged the agriculture (ext) officials to provide necessary information to farmers for controlling the attack .  Anjum said those growers who had not sown spring corn, spring sunflower due to some reasons they could sow spring green gram (Moong) till the end of March. He said after sowing Moong farmers could cultivate cotton and paddy as these crops grow in a short period of time and cultivation of these crops also make the land more fertile.
