Rape victim, family face life threats

BAHAWALPUR
The persons who allegedly abducted a girl and raped her for 13 days are pressuring the family of the victim to withdraw the case by giving them life threats with the alleged involvement of police.
Rape victim Nausheen, resident of Moza Fazilwala, told media along with her father Muhammad Ejaz in Bahawalpur that on 24th of January she was going home on motorcycle along with her father when Shah Muhammad, Nasir Azhar, Imam Baksh and Sabir Chadhar intercepted them on gunpoint and abducted her. They also beat up her father due to which he got injured and they took her to someplace where they raped her, she alleged.
Later on the directions of Session Judge Police Station Saddar Lodhran registered the case against criminals and arrested 2 criminals. She further alleged that Investigation Officer Gulbaz Khan has made a deal with the accused and was threatening her father to take back the case else the accused would kill him. Parents of the victim said that despite arresting the other three accused, police were trying to release the already arrested persons after taking bribe.
