LAHORE - Nursing students continued protest at Shaikh Zayed Hospital on Monday to press for the demand of registration of degree from Pakistan Nursing Council.

Nursing students staged a sit in at entrance of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Medical College, disrupting academic activities at the institution.

Nurses, however, called off protest in the evening after successful negotiation with the government team headed by Special Secretary Health Suleman Mufti. The team comprising Deputy Secretary Health Raja Mansoor and Director General Nursing Punjab assured student nurses that process for registration of degree has been started. The officials said that a team of PNC would visit the college on March 9 to inspect available infrastructure.
