His Excellency the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Pakistan Mr Marcel de Vink along with his spouse accompanied by Punjab Agriculture and Meat Company (PAMCO) CEO Mumtaz Khan Manais visited Sir Sadiq Public School here on Monday.

At the school the ambassador was received by Principal Nauman Ahmad Qureshi. He went around different sections of the school and took keen interest in the historic background of the school. On the occasion, IT Department head briefed the distinguish guests about the history of the school and facilities being provided to the students for quality education.

The principal informed the ambassador that Sadiq Public School was built by the last ruler of former princely Bahawalpur State Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Khamis Abbasi and it was one few leading educational institution of the country. On the occasion, the Dutch ambassador pledged that he would make efforts to send students of the school to the Netherlands for higher education in future.

The Dutch ambassador also visited the girls section, library, KPH and Sadiq Progressive High School.

Later, the school principal presented the School crest to Marcel De Vink as a memento of his visit to Sir Sadiq Public School.

In Ahmedpur East, Dutch Ambassador to Pakistan Marcel de Vink and his spouse visited historical shrines at Uch Sharif. They also drove to Shamas Mahal, residence of Sajjada Nasheen and Bahawalpur National Awami Party (BNAP) MPA Makhdoom Syed Iftikhar Hassan Gillani who briefed the couple about cultural heritage of Uch Sharif and shown them relics of the Gillani family.

Former Tehsil Nazim and BNAP leader Makhdoom Syed Samiul Hassan Gillani, Chaudhry Mukhtar Masood and Riaz Ahmed Bhutta were also present on the occasion. Both the ambassador and his spouse also visited historical Bibi Jewandi tomb in the city.
