LAHORE - Chunks of roof plaster in Surgical ICU of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital fell on Monday, hurting a nurse and creating panic among patients and staff.

Roof plaster of Surgical ICU fell on the wash-basin in one of the corners, but fortunately no major loss occurred as patients remained unhurt.

Staff of Surgical ICU claimed that the administration didn’t pay any heed to repeated requests for repair of the damaged roof. The administration shifted ICU patients to High Dependency Unit, which was empty due to off dengue season.

Attendants of patients have urged the administration to complete repair of damaged portions of hospital building to avoid any untoward incident during the ongoing winter rains.
