PESHAWAR - Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Sirajul Haq has said defaming Islam and Muslims is part of the US and her Western allies’ war strategy, saying security forces’ raids on religious seminaries across the country are meant to fulfil the US war agenda.
He said this while addressing a big gathering of teachers and students of religious seminaries, after inaugurating historic and cultural exhibition at Jamia Usmania at Gulshan-e-Umar campus on Chirat road in tehsil Pabbi on Monday.
On the occasion, JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ameer Prof Ibrahim and Muhtamim (caretaker) of the Jamia Mufti Ghulamur Rahman, JI leaders including Sabir Hussain Awan, Haji Anwarul Islam, Jamiat Ittehad-ul-Ulema Provincial President Mualana Abdul Akbar Chitrali and a large number of renowned religious scholars attended the function.
The JI chief said that differences and rift among religious groups and Islamic organizations was a bigger problem than the existing secular forces in the establishment of Islamic system. He called upon all religious parties to forge unity among their ranks aimed to tackle the anti-Islam and State forces.
He also said that the students of the religious seminaries have better skills compared to those of schools and students graduated from various reputed universities.
Siraj stressed the need to introduce a uniform education system and according to the ideology of the country.
The JI ameer informed more than 3 million students have been enrolled in various religious seminaries across the country. He, however, regretted the government didn’t allocate funds in the fiscal budget for education of that a large number of students of religious seminaries.
The JI chief said that unfortunately religious parties were divided into various sects and groups, adding the differences among religious forces ultimately benefit anti-Islam and secular forces. He urged upon the Mufti Azam Pakistan and Mufti Taqi Usmani to try to bring close all the religious parties on point.
Sirajul Haq said that all segments would have an agreement on clause of Islamic constitution and establishment of Islamic system in the country.
