The light of Hidaya is so strong and bright that no religion and boundaries can stop it. In the case of personality of Muhammad (S.A.W), there are numerous scholars all around the world, with several different religions who have not only accepted but proved the righteousness of His (P.B.U.H).

“We are talking about Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and we should keep it in mind that he is the greatest individual in history. If anyone wants to know about Islam, one should judge Islam by Prophet (P.B.U.H) life and his teachings”, stated Swami Lakshmi Shankaracharya,  Hindu scholar.

Swami was at first very critical about Islam and it’s concept of Jihad. He wrote a book “The history of Islamic terrorism” considering Islam to be the root cause of global terrorism. However, on being urged to study Islam from its original sources Swami read the Holy Quran besides the life of His (S.A.W), he realized that he misunderstood Islam. He accepted his mistake and decided to write a book “Islam – Terror or Ideal path”, in which he clarifies the real meaning of Jihad and how Islam is the religion of peace.

Professor K.S. Ramakrishna Rao, Professor at Government College for Women University Mysore, stated in his article “He (S.A.W) – The Prophet” stated, “The principles of universal brotherhood and doctrine of the equality of mankind, represents one very great contribution of Muhammad (S.A.W) to the social uplift of humanity. All great religions have preached the same doctrine but the Prophet (S.A.W) of Islam had put this theory into actual practice and its value will be fully recognized, perhaps centuries hence, when international consciousness being awakened, racial prejudices may disappear and greater brotherhood of humanity come into existence”.

Mahatma Gandhi speaking on the character of His (P.B.U.H) said in Young India 1924, “I wanted to know the best of one who holds today’s undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind. I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days; in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of Prophet (S.A.W), the scrupulous regard for pledged, his intense devotion to his friends and followers and his absolute trust in God. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle”.

Diwan Chand Sharma, in his book, “The Prophets of the East” stated, “Muhammad was the soul of kindness.”
