LAHORE - Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said yesterday Pakistan started its journey towards peace, progress and prosperity during the last two and a half years and its future would be brighter.
”The programme for progress and prosperity is being furthered as a mission and welfare projects worth billions of rupees have been started. Critics of these projects are enemies of prosperity,” the CM said while talking to lawmakers.
He said work is in progress on power projects to overcome energy crisis and a number of projects would be producing electricity by 2017. He said due to solid policies of the government, economic activities have accelerated and confidence of investors has restored.
He said Pakistan is moving in the right direction under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The CM urged public representatives to spare no effort for solving peoples’ problems.

CM praised: Vice President Chinese Investment Group Jing Fengru has said praised Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for his hard work.
“I have listened about unprecedented working capabilities of CM Shahbaz Sharif also in China but witnessed that he has completed projects speedily in the real sense,” he said during a meeting with the CM.
He lauded the capabilities of Shahbaz Sharif regarding speedy execution of development projects and said it was a good omen that a hard working and dynamic personality like Shahbaz was leading the biggest province of Pakistan.
He said that Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has provided best facilities for investment in the province. He further said that Punjab is the best and attractive province with regard to investment and they want to make investment here. Jing Fengru said that he is greatly impressed by the development of Punjab including Lahore.
