KARACHI - Hundreds of thousands of CDGK employees are still deprived of a positive response from the Malir Development Authority (MDA) with regard to the allotment of plots announced six months ago. The CDGK had announced that 100 yards, 200 and 400 yards plots would be provided to the employees of CDGK, through New Malir Housing Project in MDA scheme 1. According to the details, 30 thousands employees would be facilitated through this scheme and they have been waiting keenly for balloting, allotment and installments process for the past six months. Talking to The Nation on Friday, several CDGK employees said that they had submitted the booking price for plots allotted them category wise months back but since then no further action has been taken in this regard due to lethargic attitude of the MDA officials. They further said that concerned authorities have still took no initiative to allocate the plots to the employees nor a strategy has been devised to realize installments due to which utter frustration is spreading among the employees. It may be noted that according to the policy, the employees from grade 1 to 15 were entitled to 100 yards plots, grade 16 to 17 officials 200 yards and those above grade 18 were entitled to 400 yards plots. Acting city nazim Nasreen Jalil, when contacted, told The Nation that she did not know the details about the project however promised that she would recommend it to the city nazim Mustafa Kamal to initiate the process of allotment of plots. She said that CDGK is always committed to provide best facilities to the employees thus the above-mentioned scheme was announced for the employees of CDGK.  Nasreen Jalil further said that CDGK is also working on health insurance policy for CDGK employees.
