our staff reporter RAWALPINDI - Ministry of Religious Affairs Secretary Shaukat Hayyat Durrani has said that business community was playing a major role in the uplift of the national economy and the ministry would take every possible step to give separate quota for business community for Haj. He said this while talking with Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Syed Ali Raza Shah during his visit to the RCCI here on Monday. On the occasion, senior vice president Mian Ateeq, vice president Dr Shumail Daud and other members of the chamber were also present. While talking, Secretary said that the prime objective of the ministry was to facilitate the Haj pilgrims and no stone would be left unturned in this regard. He said that ministry would acquire Rs 100 billion from 1,80,000 pilgrims this year. To a question he replied that there was a huge difference between scheduled flight and special Haj flight and it was not possible for the ministry to reduce the air fares for the Hujjaj. He further said that a facilitation desk would be set up in Saudi Arabia to give maximum facilitation to the Hujjaj this year.
