'Daanish Schools to change destiny

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said the Daanish Schools are centres of excellence in deserts to change the destiny of the backward areas and become the source of elimination of terrorism and extremism. He was taking to a 7-member delegation of senior journalists of UK led by Tahir Chaudhary which called on him here on Monday. Tahir Jameel Noorani, Syed Zia-un-Noor, Adnan Khan, Wajahat Ali Khan, Hafiz Zameer Awan and Ibrar Hussain were part of the delegation. Talking to the delegation, the CM said the Punjab government was utilising all available resources for the rapid development of the province, and for the first time in the history of the country, a revolutionary Aashiyana Housing Project had been launched for provision of modern residential facilities to the poor and common man and this project was a glaring example of transparency and quality according to the policy of the government. He mentioned that the Daanish Schools, Punjab Educational Endowment Fund, setting up of IT Labs in more than four thousand schools of the province, improvement of infrastructure and completion of other mega projects were leaving a positive impact on the development of the province.
