OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Former first class cricketer Tahir Shah praised the steps of Interior Minister Rehman Malik for assuring Zulqarnain Haider foolproof security and brings him back to the country and restoring his job. Tahir Shah also appreciated Zulqarnain Haider for the decision of coming back to country and pointing out those who are destroying the game and involved in the match-fixing and spot-fixing. Tahir Shah has also requested to the Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif for provision of cricket grounds in North Lahore Baghbanpura, Dharampura and Cantt area and Shahdara. He also maintained that the areas having grounds need renovation and these grounds should also be renovated. The former first-class cricketer appealed the Cricket Patron-in-Chief to launch investigation against the high-ups of PCB, selectors and management about the decline of cricket and earning bad name for the country in the spot-fixing cases and destroying infrastructure of the game across the country. He lauded Haider for pointing out the names of those who are involved in the spot-fixing.
