OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Water purifying tablet would be in the market very soon at cheap rate of Rs 2, says Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) regional Director Zameer Hussain Soomro. While briefing the Federal Minister for Science and Technology Mir Changez Khan Jamali on Monday about the working of the institution, he said the tablet would disinfect the 20 liters water of the microbial substance in very short time of five minutes. He said the institution was responsible for water management and ground water conservation. PCRWR is presently working on how to improve efficiency of the water distribution system, he added. Later, the minister visited various departments of the PCRWR regional office. He appreciated the PCRWR for establishing district water quality laboratories in Punjab and production of water purifying tablet.
