ISLAMABAD - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday dismissed a plea regarding removal of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani from his office owing to his conviction by the Supreme Court in the contempt of court case.

IHC judge Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui heard the plea filed by GM Chaudhry seeking the dismissal of Prime Minister Gilani after the apex court convicted him in the contempt case.

Justice Shaukat said that the plea cannot be heard before the SC releases full verdict in the contempt case against Gilani.

He said article 63 1-G only refers to the disqualification of member of Parliament and not the Prime Minister.
