N lost popularity in Punjab: Wattoo

OKARA - Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo said that the PML-N has also lost popularity in the Punjab and mentioned his party’s victory in Multan in a by-election in support of his viewpoint.
“In the upcoming general elections, the PPP will sweep. The long march will be successful. The train of democracy is on its smooth track and any effort to derail it will be dashed to the ground. The solution to the national problems lies in democracy,” he said while talking to the media and party workers in Okara. “The PPP has taken the oath to protect the Constitution and stood firmly on the commitment. Even now the PPP works on the policy of reconciliation.”
Wattoo added that there was a difference between words and deeds of the PML-N leadership. He said that the PPP could not be cheated, adding that before 2013, elections are not possible.
He observed that work on the national budget was underway and it would be announced next month.
The government employees and the people including workers would be given relief. He said Nawaz Sharif was in hurry for elections but the PML-N chief should ask his brother Shahbaz Sharif to announce date for local body elections in the Punjab. On the occasion, MNA Mian Khuram Jehangir and Mian Aamir Hayat Wattoo were also present.
