NCID pays homage to all the labourers

LAHORE (PR)–National Council for Interfaith Dialogue organized a seminar on the “Dignity and Importance of the Laborers of the World” today at Lahore, Fr, Francis Nadeem OFM Cap national coordinator of the council was the chief organizer while Director Lahore Cantonment Board Tanveer Ashraf was the chief guest of the seminar.
Welcoming and highlighting about the dignity and importance of the laborers he demanded the government and the businessmen to pay Rs, 20,000/- as the minimum salary to all laborers of the country. He said that it is also the duty of the government and businessmen to provide shelter, education and health to the families of the laborers so that they may survive a respectful life in the society.
Sharing his views with the participants of the seminar Fr, Francis Sabir OFM Cap appreciated the role and importance of the laborers and paid homage to their diligent and devotion. He urged them to maintain their dignity in the society and work with more enthusiasm for the development of the nation.
The chief guest Tanveer Ashraf appreciated all the workers for their committed efforts and paid salute to their dignity. He said that he will try his best to provide all possible facilities to the workers of LCB and their families and also to increase their salaries up to maximum possible extent.
On this occasion labor leaders including Muhammad Aslam Butt, Ch. Muhammad Latif and Ch. Labbha Masih also addressed the audience.
A cake cutting ceremony and a prayer service for the welfare and prosperity of the laborers were also organized.
The main objective of the seminar was to create awareness about harmony and unity among the laborers of the country.
