LAHORE – SSP (operations) Lahore has suspended two police officers including a Sub-Inspector on charges of showing negligence and using delaying tactics towards addressing the public grievances on Wednesday. He issued these orders during an open court at the office of SP Saddar Division. According to the spokesman, two policemen including an SI and a moharrar received gratification from some culprits, who opened aerial firing at Bagrian Chowk, and later released them instead of taking strict action against them. Similarly, the SSP listened to the grievances of other complainants namely Nazeeran Bibi, Shamim Bibi, Kalsoom Bibi, Rasheeda Bibi, Khadim Hussain, Shumaila Bibi, Muhammad Umar Bhatti, Nadeem Iqbal, Sheikh Muhammad Ameen, Khalid Iqbal and others. The spokesman further said a woman namely Azran Bibi told the SSP that her husband was missing for the last 15 days but the moharrar straightforwardly refused to lodge FIR against unidentified men.

 On which, the SSP suspended him and ordered SP Saddar to hold departmental inquiry against him.
