Islamabad- Three Petrol pumps have been fined for meter tampering and inadequate security arrangements.
Growing number of fuel stations in Islamabad are giving the specified quantity of diesel or petrol though the meter may show otherwise. They tamper with the meters, giving customers less than they pay for. A few drops of fuel saved per motorist brings several thousand rupees in profit.

Therefore the Assistant Commissioner City, Waqas Rashid,  inspected various petrol pumps in sector G-7 and Super Market and discovered the magnitude of fraud. He fined three petrol pumps owners of 60,000 rupees for tampering with the meter, inadequate security arrangements and for not paying enough salary to employees which is a violation of salary act.
