RAWALPINDI - Former Corps Commander Rawalpindi and active member of Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Association Lt General (retd) Jamshed Gulzar Kiyani laid to rest with full military honour at Army graveyard Race Course Ground here on Sunday. The Rasm-e-Qul of deceased will be held today at House Number 8, Askari VIII, Chaklala Airport Road at 3 pm. The Nimaz-e-Janaza was offered by Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Khateeb Hafiz Ubaid Ullah and was attended by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Tariq Majeed, Corps Commander Rawalpindi Lt General Tahir Mehmood, former COAS General (retd) Mirza Aslam Baig, former DG ISI General (retd) Hameed Gull, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Nasir Khan Durani, members of Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Association, political figures, former AJK President Sardar M Anwar Khan, Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) President Sardar Asmat Ullah Khan, General Secretary Malik Siddique Awan along with other lawyers, officers of Pak Army and civil institutions (both retired and on duty) and many others belonged to different walks of life. On this occasion tight security arrangements were made. After the burial ceremony, Auditor General of Pakistan Army Lt General Javed Zia, on behalf of COAS General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani and Corps Commander Rawalpindi Lt General Tahir Mehmood laid the floral wreaths on the grave of Late Lt General (retd) Jamshed Gulzar Kiyani.
