PESHAWAR - At least 13 persons got injured when a remote-controlled bomb hit the vehicle of a tribal leader near Karkhano Market checkpoint on Tuesday. Police sources said that a remote-controlled device was planted in a car and its actual target was tribal leader Malik Taj who was on his way to somewhere in Peshawar. The blast resulted serious injuries to Malik Taj and 12 others persons, besides damaging 13 vehicles parked nearby. Soon after the blast Edhi ambulances and rescue teams rushed towards the site and shifted the injured persons to Hayatabad Medical Complex for treatment. Some of the injured are stated to be in critical condition. The injured were identified as Rasool Khan son of Muhammad Nazeer, 18, Walayat son of Hasham Khan, 40, Sajid son of Maos Khan, 17, Zarzada son of Millat Khan, 34, Malik Taj, 48, Ishaq son of Mian Abad, Umar Taj son of Islam, Akhtar son of Farooq Jan, 22, Umar Zaman son of Usman, Jan Mohammad son of Israr, 40, Hasan Khan son of Jandol Khan, 30, Zakirullah and Amanat.
