QUETTA - At least two FC men were killed and three others wounded in a remote-controlled bomb attack in Nasirabad area of Kech district Wednesday. Defunct Baloch Liberation Front claimed responsibility for the attack. According to sources, an FC convoy was heading to Tump, a bordering town near Iran, from Turbat when explosives exploded, killing two personnel and injuring another three. The security personnel cordoned off the area and moved the injured and deceased to hospital. One of the deceased was identified as Subedar Mustafa. The condition of two wounded is said to be critical. The sources said the blast damaged a vehicle of security forces. According to sources in Levies Force, firing was also heard in the area after the blast, triggering panic amongst the residents. BLF spokesman Basham Baloch by phone from an unspecified location claimed the attack, saying: Five security personnel have been killed in the bomb blast. Meanwhile, explosive material planted with an electric pole on Samungli Road in Saddar Police limits, detonated. However, no damage was reported.
