OUR STAFF REPORTER RAHIM YAR KHAN - The district police have finalised security arrangements on Eidul Azha to ensure peace during 405 Eid congregations in district Rahim Yar Khan. District Police Officer Sohail Zafar said that 2,400 police personnel and voluntaries would be deputed at mosques and Eidgahs. According to Regional Police Officer Arshad Nawaz, at sensitive places, walk-through gates would also be installed. He directed that a strict action be taken on establishing camps to collect hides by the banned organisations. The PRO told the media that the law-enforcement agencies would beef up security at public places, mosques and Eidgahs and important buildings to thwart any untoward incident. He further said all the sub divisional police officers and station head officers had been directed to ensure peace by following the law during Eid days. He added that all the peace committees would help the police ensure peaceful environment. He urged the people of the district to inform the police at Rescue 15 and 068.9230312 if they notice any suspected persons or illegal activities.
