LAHORE Merciless dengue virus continued to haunt Lahorites since three more persons including two women lost their lives on Wednesday, taking the death toll in the City to 333. Besides putting to sword three persons in a day, the ruthless dengue virus forced hundreds of Lahorites to approach public sector hospitals and private healthcare centres for preliminary tests, confirming 141 new cases on Wednesday and as such taking the overall tally till today to 31861. Binat-e-Sarwar (30), a resident of Khokhar Town, lost her battle of life against dengue virus at Mayo Hospital, Bashiran Bibi (50) of Kot Khawaja Saeed at Lahore General Hospital while Akhtar Hussain (30) of Okara died at Jinnah Hospital. Out of 141 new dengue cases, 23 were tested positive at Jinnah Hospital, 15 each at Mayo Hospital and Services Hospital, 12 at Institute of Public Health, 08 at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, 07 at Lahore General Hospital and 03 at Childrens Hospital while 58 cases were reported from various private healthcare centres in the City.
