Pakistan has recognised Libyas new interim government following Gaddafis decades long autocratic regime came to an end after he was killed by the NTC fighters. Talking to media during weekly briefing, Foreign Office spokeswoman Tehmina Janjua said that the country had recognised Libyas new government as it enjoyed historical relations with the African country. Replying about Pakistans role in Afghanistan, she said that the country fully supported the communiqu of the Istanbul Conference which was held in Turkey to bring peace in the war-tron country. Pakistan fully supports any initiative for stability in Afghanistan she said.
