Our Staff reporter NANKANA SAHIB - Special security plan has been evolved for the three-day 542 birthday celebrations of Baba Jee Guru Nanak which will commence in here in Nankana from November 8. Elaborated security arrangements have been chalked out for the occasion as a large number of Sikh yatrees from across the world will participate in the celebrations. Nankana Sahib DPO Dr Haider Ashraf sated this while talking to reporters here the other day. The DPO said that keeping in view the prevailing circumstance, special concentration had focused on security measures. More than 16,000 Sikh and Hindus yatrees from Pakistan and abroad will visit Nankana to participate in their religious ceremonies, he pointed out. It is to be noted that the celebrations will commence with the laying of floral wreathe on the grave of Baba Guru Jee Nanak in the evening in Janam Asthan Gurdawara on November 8. Later, other religious rites will start. The yatrees will also visit Gurdawara Sacha Souda near Farooqabad to perform their religious rites. The District Nankana administration has set up bank booths, post office, public call offices, dispensary and all other arrangement have been put in place to facilitate the yatrees. Only pass-holders will be allowed to visit the venue. Scores attended PTI meeting: Scores of activists of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf went to Lahore on more than two dozen vans and dozens of cars from Gojra, Kamalia, Pirmahal and Rajana on Sunday to join PTI Lahore public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan. The caravan was led by PTI central leader Ghiasuddin Janbaz and district organiser Dr Waheed Akbar.
