LAHORE A woman lost her mental balance after her two-year-old son was accidentally shot dead right in front of her here in Nishtar Colony Area, police and local residents said on Wednesday evening. Police investigators said that a 6-year-old girl was playing with the gun of his father at her residence in Haji Park when suddenly she pushed the trigger. As a result, a bullet hit her two-year-old brother, identified as Omar Matloob, who was sleeping near to her. Father of the deceased told the police that his daughter was playing his licensee gun that was loaded when it went off suddenly. Tasleem Bibi, mother of the boy, was cooking meal in the kitchen when the incident took place. Police said that she had lost her mental balance after witnessing the dead body of her minor son. A good number of local residents also gathered outside the house soon after the incident took place. Further investigations are underway. Meanwhile, two people who were admitted to local hospitals with serious injuries they sustained in road mishaps, died there on early Wednesday. Police said that a 26-year-old house servant, identified as Muhammad Rafique, was crossing the road in Shahdman area when a rashly driven car hit him. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital, where died later. In another incident, 30-year-old Shahid died at the Services hospital on Wednesday morning. A day earlier, Shahid was rushed to the hospital with multiple injuries after a road accident in Ferozwala area. The police handed over the body to the victim families and are investigating.
