Lahore- An improvised explosives device (IED) was found from parking area of the Wagah border today, prompting law enforcers into action.

The Bomb Disposal Squad was called to the site for inspection. The BDS, after recovering the IED from parking area, started search operation on

spots surrounding Wagah border. Security forces also began search operation in nearby villages and areas and rounded up several suspects. A suicide bomber killed at least 59 people on Sunday at the main Pakistan-India border crossing, Wagah, the blast tearing through

crowds of spectators leaving after the colorful daily ceremony to close the frontier. The explosion, which wounded more than 120, came at Wagah border gate near Lahore after the "flag-lowering" ceremony, a display of military pageantry that attracts thousands of spectators every day and is popular with tourists.
