| Citizens banned from flag-lowering ceremony for three days

ISLAMABAD - Condemning the Wagah suicide attack in harshest terms, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that terrorists could not divide or terrorise the people of Pakistan and made it loud and clear that the operation against the militants would continue till their complete elimination.
Prime Minister directed the Interior Ministry and the law-enforcement agencies to extend all necessary support to Punjab Government in the investigation of gruesome incident which took the lives of over 50 innocent people.
According to Prime Minister's media office, Prime Minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the huge human loss in the Wagah suicide attack. He extended condolence to the bereaved families and directed Punjab Government to ensure proper medical treatment to the injured.
The prime minister said that terrorists were on the run and ongoing operation Zarb-i-Azb would be taken to its logical conclusion and the war against terror would continue till the elimination of the last terrorist on the country's soil.
He said that the nation was united against terrorists and were standing behind the Armed Forces in the operation against the militants.
The prime minister said that such cowardly acts of suicide attacks would not terrorise the people of Pakistan and would not shatter their determination to wipe out the menace of militancy and terrorism from country's soil.
He said that the innocent people martyred in the Wagah suicide attack had joined the valiant soldiers of the country who had laid down their lives in the ongoing war against terrorism.
The prime minister also ordered an immediate inquiry and summoned report from Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Director General Punjab Rangers. He directed the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar to provide every possible care to the injured and families of those died in the attack.
The prime minister also ordered the interior minister to carry out prompt investigation of the attack and submit the report.
Shahbaz Sharif directed the Punjab ministers Bilal Yasin and Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman to visit victims of the terror attack in hospitals.
Monitoring Desk adds: As the whole country mourned the loss of innocent lives in terrorist attack, the Wagah border administration announced that there will be no parade ceremony and citizens will not be allowed at the border for next three days. The flag will be hoisted with simplicity, reported a private TV channel.
The ceremonious parade at the Wagah border attracts tourists and visitors not only from across the country but also from many parts of the world. For Pakistani visitors, it is a source of national pride to see the guards marching aggressively while hoisting the flags.
