MULTAN
assersby and onlookers rescued newborn twin girls when they were thrown into Nobahar Canal by an unidentified couple here on Sunday.
According to an eye witness, a man and woman, riding a motorbike, carefully dropped a big shopping bag into Nobahar Canal and sped away from the scene.
However, some passersby heard crying sounds as the shopping bag moved along with the water. At which they jumped into the water and pulled out the bag carrying newborn twin girls.
Residents immediately informed Rescue 1122 which took the twin babies to Nishtar Hospital.
According to doctors at the Nishtar Hospital Emergency ward, the twin baby girls had born today (Sunday).
They also termed their condition to be stable.
Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against the unidentified couple and started investigation to ferret out facts.
