LAHORE - PML-Q, Pakistan Awami Tehrik, Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen, Sunni Ittehad Council, Jamiat Ulma-e-Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami and other religion and political parties condemn the suicide blast near Wagah border which killed more than 50 people and injured more than 100.

In their separate statements, PML-Q President Ch Shujaat Hussain, central leader Ch Pervez Elahi, PAT Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, MWM Chief Allama Nasir Abbas, SIC Chief Hamid Raza condoled with the bereaved families and prayed for the early recovery of injured.

Dr Qadri, in his message from Canada, said the terror incident at Wagah border had badly exposed government claims regarding provision of security to common men. He held that government badly failed to provide protection to the people. Millions of people were feeling unsecured due to negligence of rulers, he said.

He said the terrorism was the biggest threat to country’s sovereignty. He directed the PAT workers to reach at hospitals for blood donation and help to the injured.
