Punjab government announces financial aid for Wagah blast victims

Lahore- Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has called for unity to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
In a statement issued today, he said that whole nation stands by the brave armed forces who are busy in the war against terrorism and writing a history of courage.
He strongly condemned the suicide attack at Wahga Border and said that culprits of this heinous act will be brought to book.
The chief minister has sought a report on the Wahga incident from police and the district administration. He has also announced a compensation of five lakh rupees for family of each victim of the suicide attack. According to a government spokesman in Lahore, 75,000 rupees will be provided to the family of each critically injured person, while 25,000 to the family of each person who received minor injuries in the blast. The chief minister visited victims of the Wahga blast at General Hospital in Lahore today. He reviewed arrangements at the hospital and ordered authorities to provide best medical facilities to the injured. Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar also visited the Services Hospital to inquire about the health of the injured of suicide bomb attack. Talking to the media outside the hospital, he said the government and the armed forces are determined to eliminate terrorism from the country. He said the best possible medical facilities are being provided to the injured.
